Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis Taylor, actress, American screen and stage actor and producer. She is most famous as a film actress due to her role on the films Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) as well as The Mentalist. She received a BA in Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch school of the arts, New York University she obtained an MFA. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a producer and American actor active in the theatre in film, television, and theatre. She began acting on stage before appearing in independent, mainstream and television series. She became famous as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she was praised by critics and received a variety of nominations and awards including her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. In 1995, she was the first to appear as Ariel on stage in The Tempest. Stage credits are Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production of Joe Turner. In the film industry, she's best known for parts like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. For her work on television she's been recognized for her part in the role of a character who is a regular on ABC's police drama High Incident.
