Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised in a mixed ethnic family. Her father is Nigerian and Swiss as well as the mother of her is English. She was born in the southern part of London Council Estate, and then went to The Brit School aged 14. She earned her BA in acting from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. The stage she appeared in was several productions as a student such as King Henry V, as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe got her start in acting with a film titled Storm Damage. Since then she's made appearances in guest roles for Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film is the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred alongside Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. The following year she portrayed Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she appeared in Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. The year 2008 saw her had the opportunity to play the role as Bambi in The ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl and was featured in the three and two series. Madekwe appeared in the comedic How to Lose Friends and Alienate people (2008). Theatre credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe was chosen to play Ashley Davenport in ABC's Drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode show aired only for the duration of two weeks The CW and then it ended. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. After being a regular for the first two seasons, the show was announced late May 2013 that Madekwe was set to leave the show after an appearance as a guest in the first episode from the 3rd season. In the television series Salem, she played Tituba in 2014 through 2016. Madekwe, her long-time companion, Iddo, married Madekwe in June 2012. They collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He also played with Madekwe in Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress, who was born into a big family. Her parents were Roy and Patty Leggat. Her parents were Roy and Patty as well as her four brothers -Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's brothers, who were who were all extremely athletic, played hockey in the winter and baseball during the summer, so that she grew up playing in parks and arenas. Ashley couldn't walk, however she could dance. This led to the fact that when she turned 2, she discovered Baby Ballet. That was the start of Ashley's passion for dance. Ashley continued to perform competitively through high school graduation, at the top levels of competitions, such as ballet, tap, Jazz, Pointe, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Lyrical Hip Hop, and much more. All of the major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, have awarded her the distinction of "top Soloist".
